Barry Bebart AIA
Barry Bebart is a licensed architect, practicing for twenty-five years in Chicago and the Midwest. Working as project manager or as project architect, Barry has led architectural teams on numerous design award-winning projects, including law offices, corporate headquarters, corporate offices, educational spaces, retail stores, and residences. Barry is licensed in the States of Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin and is a City of Chicago Self Certification Architect.
Barry's career began in 1987 in Chicago at the office of Powell/Kleinschmidt where he learned the fundamentals of high quality modernist interior architectural work serving as project architect and project manager. In 1997 Barry joined Solomon Cordwell Buenz and Associates and helped the Interiors Group grow from 10 to over 35 staff and was involved in many of the groups award winning projects and extensive interiors and architectural practice. In 2008 Barry formed Barry Bebart | Architecture P.C. Prior to professional experience at Powell/Kleinschmidt Barry attended the University of Cincinnati and worked co-op internships at Skidmore Owings and Merrill, Kohn Pedersen Fox and Pike/Gentry Associates. Barry graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1986 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
Barry is a frequent guest reviewer at the IIT Architecture School graduate and undergraduate programs and has spoken at the National Association of Realtors National Convention and the Natural Resources Defense Council National Convention..
